A Fishing Trip Last Weekend —Una Salida De Pesca El Fin De Semana Pasado
Last weekend, Carlos went fishing with his brother at a small lake near their town. They arrived early on Saturday morning and prepared their fishing rods. While Carlos was putting bait on his hook, his brother was looking for a good place to sit. They were talking and laughing when they heard a splash near the shore. A large fish jumped out of the water and disappeared.
Carlos was watching the water carefully when he felt a strong pull on his fishing line. He quickly picked up the rod and started pulling the line. While his brother was giving him advice, Carlos caught a big fish. They took a few pictures and put the fish back in the lake. Later, they went home tired but happy.

Refuerzo: ¿Cuándo Usamos Simple Past y Past Continuous?
Ejemplo 1:
They were talking when they heard a splash.
- They were talking: ellos ya habían comenzado a hablar y todavía estaban hablando.
Ejemplo 2:
Carlos was watching the water when he felt a strong pull on his fishing line.
- Carlos was watching the water: Carlos ya estaba mirando el agua.
Ejemplo 3:
While his brother was giving him advice, Carlos caught a big fish.
- His brother was giving him advice: su hermano ya le estaba dando consejos.
